Is there any way to upgrade the line speed?

ok so ime on the 20mb unlimeted.

and i left the router turned on for 10days then did a speed test it was around 9mb-10mb and still is after a month

my download speed is around 1.200kbs
      and upload is 80kbs

download speed is ok but could be doubled
and the upload is very slow

after alot of searching around i think it is the actual line (ime connected from the phone line) as my side of the street is on a hill and has basements

so is there anything that can be done to speed it up? like ime paying for 20mb but only getting 10mb it dont seem fair to sell us 20mb when we wont get it

      thanks for any replys

You're paying for up to 20mbps - there is no guarantee that you'll receive anywhere near it as it's all down to line length and quality of the telephone line. Post up your stats so someone can advise.

Can you post your stats as requested, from the Test socket and from your normal position.
How to get your router statistics
How to test your ADSL in the Master Socket

Re: Is there any way to upgrade the line speed?

Unless you are using a non Sky router you will still have a Show Statistics button on the Status page, this is the statistics required. If your phone socket has a split face like the one shown in the link, the socket you expose is the test socket.

You need to click on the link on the router page to get to the status screen, scroll down it and you should see the stats button if I recall correctly.
