      a bit of help needed

Hi Folks, I bought a new pc tower yesterday to replace my ageing old tower. My plan was to use the old tower for the kids as i have a spare monitor and i have a spare sagem sky router. I have now discovered that i cannot use 2 routers on 1 phone line, any ideas on how i can connect the older tower up to the internet, the old tower is a dell dimension 2400

just to add i know that both routers are working 100% when only used with 1 pc tower as i have recently tried them.

      thanks Colin

If you can find a route for it a long ethernet cable is the cheapest solution. Fitting a pair of Homeplugs is the next best way - Homeplug | Broadbandbuyer.co.uk

Depending on the reception you could also use wireless, USB wireless adapters are fairly cheap. Not recommended for gaming.

As usual superb service (thanks Isitme), just looked on ebay, the ethernet cable will certainly be the cheaper option and if i can get a good quality external one i can run it outside of the house instead of draped around 3 doorways and floors which you can guarantee my 2 kids will be wrapped up in it....Regards Colin
