Extremely slow connection evening time - 0.02mb/s speed test

I think I'll try and get out now. I'm a heavy Internet user, it's important for me to have a steady Internet connection.

I entered my details in talktalk and it states 8.1mb/s, but it does not saying anything about adding the turbo boost feature. In the turbo boost details it says it can be added to any connection above 8mb/s, but it doesn't have the option to add it to my package. Do I need to ring them to see about adding it?

I don't think they use the 'turbo boost' now. All their packages are up to 24 Mb, so you will get the most your line can take. Looking at your present attenuation and taking into account ADSL2+ raising it a bit, I would say you will get 10-12 Mb, depending on the condition of your.

Oh right, ok. Does that mean even if sky upgrade the lines to LLU in my area I will only get 10-12mb/s?

If so, I might as well go on talk talk now. I've only just signed up with sky, do they offer a month trial period to get out of the contract?

Hi when you talk to TalkTalk make sure you are going on an LLU package not another Bt re-badged package. Here`s some information that you might find useful Top10.com TalkTalk Broadband Deals - TalkTalk Home Phone & Broadband Offers - TalkTalk Essentials and TalkTalk Broadband and Phone Packages plus a good idea is to look at the members forum The TalkTalk Members Forums have you had a look at the latest Sky LLU Unbundled exchanges there is a list on this link Sky still unbundling :: Sky Broadband :: think broadband you can look on SamKnows - Sky / Easynet LLU to see if there is more look for the area you live in then to the right there is a list.
I hope you get things sorted.

That is only my guesstimate, Sky would be the same on their LLU packages..
