Very slow downloads and poor streaming

For the past few weeks I've had serious problems with slow download speeds and very poor streaming ability. It has definitely changed (for the worse) in the past few weeks - so sky has not always been this bad from installation. I have also had some issues with gaming (high latency on world of warcraft) however this is intermittent and not always a significant problem. It doesn't seem to matter whether it's peak or off-peak times.

Today I am downloading a game update, and getting a maximum speed of 40kbps, going down to 6-7kbps at times... this has been pretty consistent all day at peak and non-peak times.

My router info is as follows:
      System Up Time: 31:32:11
Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
      WAN PPPoA 0 0 0 0 0 0:00:00
      LAN 1538485 1380510 0 0 0 31:32:11
      WLAN 207687 159532 0 0 0 31:31:44
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 384 kbps 574 kbps
Line Attenuation 53.5 db 33.9 db
Noise Margin 16.3 db 10.5 db

I use a long cable from the router to my computer. However I have not changed the cabling since installing sky, and this has only been a problem within the last few weeks.

Any ideas? Is it likely to be throttling due to high usage? I'm on the unlimited up to 10mb package, although I think I can receive up to 4mb in my specific area.

If it is throttling, what can I do about it? I'm not paying for high speed internet to not receive it!!

You appear to be capped. This will not be due to over use, Unlimited means what it says, you can download as much as you like. There may have been a problem with your line which caused DLM to kick in and cap it. You will have to phone Sky and ask them to reconfigure your line. Before you do so plug into the Test socket if you have one and use another filter.

Note - When downloading always select the Custom install or you will end up with stuff you don't want.
