      Does an LL5 cost anything?

In line with my current issue with a suspected line fault. Sky have decided to send out an LL5 engineer and I remember hearing from my previous ISP that if an engineer is sent out and they find no fault between the exchange and the master socket then its chargable?

Is this true? If so how much is this going to cost if who ever is checking my line doesnt find a fault?

I am pretty sure that there is a fault somewhere (Tier 3 @ Sky seem sure too) as the downstream line sync has dropped by about 70% yet my upstream is perfect.

Provided you went through all the checks with sky (test socket, different cpe etc.) then it won't be chargeable, don't worry about it.

Just had a similar issue with O2.
They called out Openreach who diagnosed and fixed an external line fault - no charge.
