    Help please!!

      Help please!!

      Hi all,
      for the past couple of days our sky broadband has been randomly cutting out and is very annoying! sometimes it goes an hour without disconnecting, sometimes its every 30 seconds and wont come back for up to an hour.
      neither the windows taskbar icon or the connection status register that connection has been lost for up to 2 minutes after webpages start showing 'server has been reset' (or something like that, i use firefox by the way)
      i've tried a newer router and have the same problem
      i live in a shared student house and the one who pays the bill is out of the country for the summer so i'm guessing sky wouldnt talk to me anyway
      router stats right now are...

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 18573 kbps 978 kbps
      Line Attenuation 15 db 4 db
      Noise Margin 5 db 6 db

      ive also tried rebooting and restarting the router several times, if anyone has any advise it would be much appriciated!!

      Post your stats from the TEST socket and as it is a student house, ensure every phone socket has an ADSL filter in it as the very FIRST thing connected to it.
