Taken connect, talk anytime and line rental... not really happy

I took out the above 3 products with Sky as we were paying BT over 40 a month for it. Sky offered it to us for 21.50 so I took it.

Everything is fine except the broadband! After midnight I get over 7mb which is fantastic and faster then BT ever was but from aroun 3pm-midnight it's rubbish! Speeds as low as 300kbps max of 2mb.

When I took it the site said:

Currently we estimate that the maximum download speed your line could support is 8 - 10Mb
Great news - Sky is expanding our broadband and calls network in your area! We'll be completing this rollout over the next 3 months.
In the mean time we can offer you Sky Broadband Connect with up to 8Mb* download speeds and a monthly usage allowance of 40GB.
When the Sky network rollout is complete we'll automatically transfer you to our Sky Broadband Unlimited product with up to 20Mb* download speeds and truly unlimited monthly usage allowance.
If it's going to be LLU in 3 months I won't mind but if I'm going to be stuck with this then I'm going to be mad as BT was fantastic (over 6.5mb all day, low pings and no ping jitter) but very expensive.

We've had connect since July 29th. We have the new Sky D-Link router.

At present this is what the results are:

That's how Connect works. Spot on until peak times then it will often grind to a halt. Sky just don't have (and will not pay) BT for any more bandwidth.

I wish I had asked someone before taking it. I hope LLU comes around then.

Ring Sky and tell them that you want your MAC code, they have to supply it within 5 days no matter what contract you have remaining.

You could be waiting for a while, many others have been waiting for years with still no sign of it. Tell them you do not consider that the broadband service is fit for purpose and as such will not be paying for the remainder of the contract.

I would advise you use Plusnet if you cannot get any other LLU suppliers in your exchange.

The website says LLU should come within 3 months. When I took the offer over the phone the guy checked several times for me and apparently the techs said it should be between 2 and 5 months but I haven't found any more info other than what the Sky website says.

I don't know if to keep it or not. Even TalkTalk would cost more money. This is what I get from sky at around 11AM ish.

As I said, many people were told the same thing re timescale but are still waiting years on, I'm not sure if Sky have started rolling out the upgrades again or not.

Hi Where did you get the information from.
The website says LLU should come within 3 months.
The reason for the issues is the connect package is over subscribed and being Traffic Managed from 5pm till Midnight. You can use the Bt Updated Speed Tester which is the only speed test Sky will take any notice of. Here`s a couple of links about the Connect issues (Unofficial) FAQ - Sky Connect Users also Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down? any further information just post.

I put my phone number in on the "quick buy" page and it came under it. I shouldn't be throttled as I'm a new customer.
