A report back on how you get on with TT would be useful for other members contemplating a move, if you have the time.

Will do. I've had a confirmation e-mail from TT and a call and text from TT. Openreach guy was eyeing our line this morning and was on the phone so I'm not sure what he was doing.

Sky called me to confirm my broadband connect has been cancelled.

Will let you know how it all goes.

Hi TT that sounds like really good news.

Maybe someone Browsing through your thread will know the answer. Sound as if they could be setting up your new number and checking your line if they were around the Bt cabinet.

It would not be in connection with the change over, that's all done in the exchange.

I'm not sure what is happening. The line now is going "dead" on 24th with "new" line going live on 26th with broadband going live on 27th.

Hi did you get any reason why. All they do at the exchange swap over from Bt to TT equipment The line has to be there for the broadband but to take two days to unplug from Bt then re-plug in to TT with new line and number. I am looking to see if I can find any information on why the delay

Because of all the problems I have had and the fact that any new TT order is cancelled or goes missing on their system meant the only way around it was to disconnect my current line with BT and get TT to "install" a new line.

They can't tell me what it would involve but it may well just be a case of swapping some wires and getting a new number.
