Can't connect, router lights not all on

      Hey guys

Not called sky or anything but wondered if this was a common problem that had a simple fix

My router sometimes only has one light on, that is the adsl light and it stays red. Not even a power light on (the four lights below this for ethernet ports are all green even tho I only have one cable plugged in)

I tried a re set, turned on and offer. Different cables, fresh micro filter, different telephone socket all to no avail.

Now I have the top light green (power light) and the one below this green. The adsl is orange and flashes, then goes green for half a second then no light. Then orange after a min or so and just continues in this loop

Any help to this problem would be great

      Dante

sounds like it is a dying router or power supply, especially as the power light doesn't stay on.

If you have been with Sky BB for less than a year you will get a new one free under warrenty otherwise they may charge you 28.

If you get a new router make sure you swap the router and power supply over as recently I have had more power supply's go wrong on me than I have actual bits of kit.
I'm a PC, and Windows 7 Backup saved my sanity when BitDefender imploded !!!

It'll be the power supply unit. Of course, to confirm, you could try a 12v laptop charger if you have one handy and substitute it for the sky power supply momentarily to see if the correct lights come on. A replacement PSU from sky is free.
