      [Help] IP Hosting/Redirect [Help]

Hi, First of All I Would Just Like To Say,

This is a great Forum and I have solved many problems with the advice given here.
      So I Signed Up.

Ok, I Have A Website Being Hosted At Localhost 127.0.0.1 And I Am Trying To Host It On My External IP Address, But When I Type My External IP Address Into The Address Bar, It Redirects To My Router Status (BROADBAND SETUP). I Know Its Not Practicial To Host On My External IP As It Is Not Static But Dynamic, But The SkyBB Helpline Said Its Still Possible. So Any Help With This Please?

      All Help Appreciated.

      Thanks

      Xavi.

I am not exactly sure what you are trying to do. Who is hosting your Web Site, Sky do not do this. Do you mean you are trying to host a server, such as a games server?
Caps are not really necessary at the start of each word, only sentences.

I have no personal experience in setting up a games server, but have a look at this -
How to Create Your Own Game Server | eHow.com
It may give you some ideas. There are a few on the forum who run games servers, maybe one of them will be willing to help.

      Re: [Help] IP Hosting/Redirect [Help]

127.0.0.1 is just a local loopback address, you need to open the relevant port for the game you are hosting and then people point their games at your external IP address. Until you open the port up on the router you will only see the setup page when they go to your IP address.
