      Did they mention changing the router? It does look like the problem is with your external line or exchange, but another router would prove it either way.

      more tidy but it will perform much better than the crap you get with router's these days, Read up on other forums people report much better stable lines and more snr from using one, So dont say they dont make any difference.

      If he tested the line from the test socket and it was clear then the problem could lie further down the line? With the current line stats you got you should stick to G.DMT cause of the increased noise from adsl2+ wont get you any faster mate.

      Once you leave it in the test socket etc and all gets sorted i would get rid of the crap filter's.
