      Opal router

Sorry its not a sky related Q!

Does anyone know what type of router Opal supply?

for everyone's benefit and with the great help you have given me, this is what is happening with my client who is moving office.

they currently use BT for both line and broadband. they have multiline (6 lines).
they were paying 43/month for broadband alone. Think they were paying around 600/month for the multiline - cant quite remember.

anyway, I think this is the quote they had given me:

      Broadband with line
      broadband: 10/month
      line: 13/month
      wireless router: 30
line installation fee (to carry the line over with the same number) 49 per line.

broadband with line per month: 23

      Telephone with multiline (6 lines)
      line rental per month: 13 * 6 = 78/month

      labour fee: 85
      telephone line connection/transfer charge: 49 per line * 6 = 294

total one off fees for this: 379

so per month for broadband, telephone line for broadband and multiline: 101

Not sure, Talk Talk usually supply D-Link if I recall correctly.

      Re: Opal router

I've found d-links products to be some of the best i've used. I've had constantly disconnecting belkins and overheating netgears - never a problem with the d-link stuff
Incidentally if they give one like the talk talk ones it'll be a cheap chinese brand white thing (might be Huawei) it certainly isnt a known brand one.

      Re: Opal router

I don't know if it is current but I came across this - Draytek Vigor 2800 ADSL router - Opal The 2800 has been discontinued and replaced with the 2820. A call to Opal should clear it up, although I must say if they are supplying this for 30 quid, it's a bargain.
