      Broadband for business (pt2)

Sorry for posting this again but still trying to find an alternate to BT's 102/month package for business which includes line rental, phone package deal which also includes the "option 3" for broadband.

things are now getting more concrete with my client for the broadband so now i need to wrap up things together.

they are based in Chiswick park in London (W2 postcode)

What other providers can I propose for broadband business to them which:

      1) unlimited usage
      2) fastest speed as possible (I know depending on how far the exchange is but as long as its upto 16/20MB+ is great)
      3) can bundle a phone line (another note: does the provider need to give us extension numbers for the phone system, as there will be multiple phones around the office? how does this work?)

opal do not provide broadband as they are not processing or accepting new business customers.

      wish sky would!

I would've said Opal first but as you said they won't do it obviously can't be that! Can your client not get Easynet? Same network as Sky but business SLA

OR try giving Chess Telecom a buzz - used to work for them after leaving Sky and they provide the lot (BB, phones, multi-lines, everything) and provide using either Opal's network or BT...see what they say, they might be able to get you on LLU (although they say it's not as good as BTW, which I argued against a LOT!!)

thanks mate! didnt realise you used to work for sky *embarrased*

will do! Now I can't remember if it was opal or was another provider that said they are not accepting new customers, but will confirm tomorrow. opal seem to have just what the company needs - but they do need as much of "unlimited" usage as possible - like sky for home! (which I LOVE!!!!)

when it comes to things like internal numbers (extensions) - how does this work? does the provider configure it? is there a seperate charge for this? are these additional lines?

Provider does the lot, well Chess do (not on commission from them btw, just the only company I have experience of). They provide off the Opal network if in the area but you pay Chess for everything so they may be able to get you on the network. You basically talk it over with them as to what you're after and they can sort you out

      Re: Broadband for business (pt2)

DSL checkers will mostly require a telephone number as well as a postcode. Postcode only checks won't be as accurate. Can you not look up the phone number of a nearby business and use that with the postcode to get a rough estimate?

      Re: Broadband for business (pt2)

      sure.

I think we are going to go with opal. seems really good for the package they have for BB and said that the estimate is 11.7MB (thats giving them the postcode)

shame, wish it were more than that but exchange is too far!
