      Current Speed

      Hello,

I've been registered for the last month or so but not posted. I was having issues with my download connection speed dropping to unusable levels. After several calls to and from sky over the last few weeks (who have been nothing but helpful), this morning i've been set at this speed,

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 3648 kbps 800 kbps
Line Attenuation 55 db 31 db
Noise Margin 8 db 9 db

After hours spent reading the forums here i'm really pleased with the above. Sky say i can actually go a litte faster, possibly another 100-300kbps.

I'm just interested as to what others think really.

The stats are taken from the master socket. This is the only socket in the house.

      Cheers

      Re: Current Speed

That looks about right. If you are pleased with how it's performing at present then there isn't much use in risking that for another few hundred kb's.

      Re: Current Speed

If you want the extra speed then by all means get them to increase it. Providing your line doesnt suffer huge dips in SNR I dont see any problems with doing that
