      Sky Unlimited Upgrade

I upgraded to Sky unlimited over a week ago and sent them an email saying I hadn't seen any improvements in speed. They got back to me today saying they'd finished testing on the 11th and I should now see an improvement on my line.

Before the upgrade I could get 1mb, I was hoping for 3/4 after but this is what im currently getting:

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 1019 kbps 252 kbps
Line Attenuation 51 db 31 db
Noise Margin 11 db 21 db

So im still getting 1mb. Have Sky even upgraded me? These stats were taken from the master socket and nothing else plugged in.

Looks like you're on the everyday lite DLM start speed (1024/256). Then again, you've been moved to adsl2plus, so I think DLM has gotten stuck at some point. SNR looks a tad low - before calling sky, I'd suggest to plug into the test socket with no extensions, just using the short grey dsl cable sky supplied. Re-take the stats from there if you can and we'll advise further.

Well, if you have a test socket, plug into the test socket.

You may wish to consider getting an NTE5 fitted if you dont have one. Either replace the junction box inside (if the extensions are wired from it) or the current master socket (if the extensions are wired from it)
