      Sky Connecy - My 1 Year experiance.

      Hello,

      Not a question or anything, i just wanted to share my experience and hoped it would perhaps help somebody out.

      Firstly, I’ll give the screen shots that are fairly self explanatory.

      Sky Connect during The day (Speed):

      Sky Connect During 4-11pm (Speed)


      Sky Connect During The Day (Ping)

      Sky Connect During 4-11pm


      This happened on a daily basis, every day for 365 days.

      I complained multiple times. I was given answers from "yup that’s what happens at night" to "oh try plugging it into the BT main socket".

      I reported the issue once a week for the first 2 months or so with very little help, most time sky had no record of me actually calling them. Eventually they told me it was an issue with my internal wiring in my home.

      My advice would be, only get sky connect if you don’t use your internet after 4pm.

      I changed providers very recently and guess what, it’s all working well again.

      I’ll only show the night time tests for my new provider as the day time are very similar.

      Hi you would be able to show more information if you did the Bt Updated Speed Tester day time then night time have a look at Steve's Sky Connect speedtest blog that is what I have been doing

      Yes, he did what you should have done long ago, left the pathetic Connect package and moved to another ISP. It really beats me why you put up with it, you can't get a lot of enjoyment from it.

      That is easy for someone 'in the know' to say, however when Sky put things like this on their website-

      I had read that

      what I was saying if Jab0rna had done the Bt tests there would have been more information for other Connect User`s as most internet speed tests do not give enough information and not always correct.
      I know Tom but things can only get better. If this is true then it has been a long time happening and you know you must all way`s be positive
