      Question Download speed problems

Hi Im having some major problems with my broadband.

sky have been throttling my broadband in peak times for years.
However out of times the speed is good, now my internet is basicly downloading at 58.7kbps Maximum equal to a 0.46mb(accoring to speedtest.net) connection way short of my 8mb.
Also my line rate according to my router is good: Picasa Web Albums - Jackbramhall1

Ive only had this slowdown over the last few weeks does anyone have any ideas on whats gone wrong and how i can fix it.

Someone isn't using the sky provided router

Are you connecting wired or wireless?
Have you tried the TEST socket in the master socket?
Have you got filters on all items in your house that are connected to a phone socket?
Are you on Base or Connect?

From the stats it looks a bit like he might be on connect which would explain it. Additionally OP did you need to make several posts?

      Re: Download speed problems

The connect pacakge is the only package that throttles you during peak times. So other than that there's not a lot that can be done. As the second post says, check your setup. Plus if your wireless and on connect, good luck to you. If your a gamer and using wireless, its doesn't take a genius to work out that's going to make your connection slow. Plus you have to take into account, the distance your line from your house to your exchange is and the quality off your telephone line also.

Oh yea also to just add. Your not using a sky router
