      Sky Internet suddenly very slow

      Hello. Okay so I have the unlimited deal which is 20mb one. I had 1.7mb before.. I was a bit happy.. but not its
      DownStream Connection Speed 3776 kbps
      UpStream Connection Speed 896 kbps
      Now how can they do it? did I miss a bill that I did not pay? Why is Sky screwing me over when I am paying 50 pounds a month?

      Sorry I did not make my self clear. While I was downloading stuff like mozilla firefox (buggy lately ;/ had to install new one) I was downloading 370 kb per second.. but 2-3 days ago i was able to download 1.7 mb per second that is 1700 kb per second .. do you get me?

      You really need to post all of your router stats etc. And clarify if you are talking in:

      Kilobits (Kb)
      KiloBytes (KB)
      Megabits (Mb)
      MegaBytes (MB)

      Lets see your attenuation, sync speed and noise margin from your router stats - we cant help you without seeing these.
      I believe you said you were downloading at 1.7MegaBytes/s?
      This equates to a rough sync speed of about 17MegaBits.

      UpStream Connection Speed 896 kbps
      VPI 0
      VCI 38


      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 3776 kbps 896 kbps
      Line Attenuation 28 db 17 db
      Noise Margin 19 db 12 db
      Better ? heh
      So basically I remember having more than 10,000 kbps .. and now this

      You are capped and looking at those stats yes you should be getting at least 10mb. Before you give SKY a call though can you try plugging the router into the test socket? (Located behind the bottom faceplate of an NTE5 BT master socket) When your plugged in there can you post your stats.

      If you have sky talk freetime and phone in your included calltime (evening/weekend) then yes the calls to sky's number are free.
      Just tell them that your speed has slowed right down recently you've checked your router stats are plugged into the test socket and your high noise margin shows you are capped and you would like the cap removed.
