Post your router stats inc sync speed, attenuation and noise margin. We cant tell you anything regarding speeds until you post these.

Providing the noise margin stays stable throughout the day your looking at 8-9mb!

As your noise margin is way >7 db, there is definatly a lot more speed to be had in the line, when DLM kicks in (if it hasn't already), you should see your noise margin decrease and sync speed increase. For every 1db your Noise Margin decreases you should expect to see anywhere between 300-500kbs increase in sync speed until it reaches 7db. I'd say your looking at anywhere between 7-9Mb aslong as you can maintain that noise margain.

Remember: DO NOT TURN OFF YOUR ROUTER FOR 10 DAYS!

      Re: Activation day

I don't want to fall out with other members but I don't think you will get anywhere near 12Mb. You are on ADSL1 at the moment and when DLM kicks in you will be transferred to ADSL2+, this will knock your noise margin up to 50+dbs, if you get 7-8Mb you will be lucky.

If you have not done so try your router in the Test socket. Internal wiring can have a very detrimental effect on broadband and in some cases can increase the attention and noise considerably.
