    Sky iD help

    This is a discussion on Sky iD help within the Sky Broadband help forums, part of the Sky Broadband help and support category; I have just ordered sky broadband yesterday and got an email with my user name to access the sky website ...

      Sky iD help

      I have just ordered sky broadband yesterday and got an email with my user name to access the sky website for email and billing etc.

      I did not get a password though........

      I called sky who said they dont send a password and that i have to go on and reset it online. So i went online and answered the questions etc but all i keep getting is:

      Unfortunately, we can't process your request at the moment, but we hope to be up and running again as soon as possible. Please try again later.

      Sky said that i could be because my broadband wont go live until wed 23rd june and to wait till that date to see if it works. But i want to check the progress of my broadband order online. The website lets me retrieve my user name but not my password. Sky also said that because i have not filled my details likes security answer etc that i have a different set of questions which are: house number, postcode and the last 6 digits of my bank account.

      Any ideas why it wont work or does anyone know if they send a password in the post?

      Don't enter the bank details. It just doesn't work. Fill in the rest of the details and put in the viewing card number of your main sky box. Should hopefully work then. Has nothing to do with your activation date.

      I chose my own username and password when I set up my account, but that was a few years ago, maybe they have changed it. The Sky portal is famous for being down.

      i dont actually have a sky tv account. i have an old viewing card that is not active.

      I have just taken the broadband only option that has just been introduced.

      anything else i can do?

      all sorted. i called them up and they passed me to a higher tier who are able to reset passwords over the phone.
