      Help with speed?

      hi i hope someone can help.

      i hope the info is right?
      i have been having problems with my broadband speed with sky. should get 6.5 but only get around 2.5 at all times. ske sent a new router but still same. now my mum lives the same distance from the exchange as me but she gets 7mb as she did when she was with BT. i got 6ish with BT sometimes more but now with sky i get rubbish.
      what can i do?

      Please simply copy and paste your stats or use the forum's upload facility. It is easier and does not disappear with time as off-server images do.

      they are the same from the master socket.
      this seems to be a bit old and i think the guy that owned the house before me thought himself as a bit of a handyman
      the line comes into house as 2 black cables going into little white box then blue/white and white blue going into other box right beside it, this box having a T at the bottom right with 2 dots on top right of T`` like thus. is this my master socket?

      Hi you should be getting around 7MBs you are being slightly capped it could be through a connection issue. Does your connection drop very often also you know about the Traffic Management 5pm till Midnight but if you are only getting around 2.5MBs all the time. With the connect package the connection speeds usually improve through the night of peek times and mornings. Do you have any LLU at your exchange.

      nope no LLU that i know of. this is what comes up.
      but as i say my mum is using same exchange with sky also lives same distance away but gets way better up to and over 7mb
