Upgraded recently to Sky Broadband Unlimited

On 1st June I upgraded to Sky Broadband Unlimited. I did this just before I went to work, so wasn't able to check until the end of that day if my speed had increased.

When I got home, I was unable to access any websites, so I rebooted the router, and I was then able to access websites again, and my download speed had increased, so I checked my router stats, and got the following:

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 11216 kbps 916 kbps
Line Attenuation 33.5 db 14.3 db
Noise Margin 8.6 db 8.5 db

I used to have Sky Broadband Unlimited, and was connecting at something like 16000kbps previously.

Yesterday, I received a letter from Sky to confirm that I had been upgraded to Unlimited, and was advised not to switch my router off for the next 10 days to enable the connection to become stable.

As I'd already had to reset my router as I couldn't access the internet on the day I upgraded, I wonder if I've messed up the DLM process?

Re: Upgraded recently to Sky Broadband Unlimited

I've just seen another post on a similar issue, and someone noticed how long it had been since the last syncronisation, so I thought it would help if I posted how long it's been since my router synced - it's been 61 hours.

Re: Upgraded recently to Sky Broadband Unlimited

I used to have Sky Broadband Unlimited, and was connecting at something like 16000kbps previously.
According to your previous posts you were getting about 13000, if you have not changed anything, you should get about the same.
Is it possible that I could sync at a faster speed?

If the router has not resynced for 2 and a half days, it could be DLM is finished. Try rebooting your router and see if the speed goes up. One reboot will have no effect on DLM even if it is running.
