The number of IP addresses does not necessarily relate to performance or availability of a DNS server cluster. In larger installations, there are many servers behind one IP address, maybe even distributed between several locations.

I haven't been able to access most of the sites mentioned by other users:

      www.ebay.co.uk
      www.amazon.com
      www.sourceforge.net
      www.cnn.com
      www.r4.com

      I can access www.ryanair.com

But if I use a anonymous proxy in my browser then suddenly every thing starts work (including logging to ebay). Ebay found suspicious that I logged from Australia and locked my account, well done!!
I had a message from one of the proxy address saying that my IP was in their IP blocking file, so I guess that as someone suggested some of the routers are blocking IP addresses of the range used by easynet, so everyone in the same exchange should have the same problems. (I have tried to change my IP address but all of them are from the same subnet so no luck).

The proxy I use is 165.228.131.10 but there are other available just google for free proxy, I wouldn't recommend to use it for logging into sites or payment transactions as you never know if that is safe!!! But it should be ok to browse around.

whilst understanding that working on these types of issues involves a wide range of 'hops' to accompolish a valid connection - it's been over 7 days since I reported my issue to Sky, during which time I've not received a call back and have had to put up with numerous numpty explanations from first line support.

Some pro-active fact finding by calling their many unhappy customers would surely help to resolve this in a much more timely manner.

Come to that, any call back would be nice.

      Hi Shayes69

They are looking at the websites that aint working, as a priority, however I understand that you are frustrated. This thread was created as a starting point and as things get fixed we get passed that info.
