That is almost the same as me.
Here is he stats from sam knows
You are approximately 4.40km from the exchange. Note that this is the straight line distance - the actual cable length will be longer!
I think another phone call to sky will be needed.

as you can see my attenuation is the same as yours so you should be able to get more than 512
When you get up to very high attenuations that does not follow. Both of you are showing the maximum your router will record, there is a good chance that your actual attenuation is 64dbs whereas Paul's is 68dbs+. He is already on G.DMT.

Very interested in this! How can you tell mine is 68db+ and I am on G.DMT?

I was always on ADSL2 prior to SVBN. Im sure they tried to put me on G.DMT and my speed dropped further so they switched my back to ADSL2.

Previously my attenuation has been 63.5. It dropped to 63 when it swapped to SVBN.

I can't say definitely what your actual attention is, just that there is a good chance that it is. I can tell you are on G.DMT by your upload speed. You will notice it is the same as Mathers.

Mathers would show an attenuation of 65dbs when he was on ADSL2+. This mode does allow the router to show the actual attenuation, depending on the router in use..

i know how you feel pau1 with poor speeds i had this issue with bt they were capping my line im pretty sure they were badly i was paying for 8meg through them and it was costing over 20 pound a month it was crazy. but now im with sky its been fine i dont do much downloading now ive curbed it down alot. i mostly play on xbox live gaming now im not saying sky is perfect in fact no isp is perfect. even if you did move to another isp you may end up with the same speed or may end up worse off. but its upto you mate which ever you choose is best for you.

I could be wrong but this may be a wind up?

I had a customer come through with an attenuation of 81db tonight - crazy.

If the connection is unstable, as seen by the low SNR, then you should keep on at sky. Or at least get them to cap the downstream sync to 512 or 768.

My upload speed was capped by CST it was around 536, but I asked them to cap it at this speed as I had a stedy connection previously when it was capped.
These stats were taken using the black Netgear V2 DG934G router.

Here is what the My Sky from sky.com says about my connection
      Your connection details
Line connection testing completed on 30/03/2010

      Download Speed
Your connection has been set to a download speed of up to
      4.0Mb (4096Kb)

      Upload Speed
Your connection has been set to an upload speed of up to
      0.5Mb (512Kb)
