      security

      Ok i got connected to broadband today.couldnt get connected to wireless by just clicking on setting.not to bothered as getting a new laptop next month.so i connected to my sky wireless through my 02 dongo.so i can now take my laptop upstairs (yay)anyway when i 1st connected it asked for security password i just typed in the network key and it worked.thing is will my neighbours be able to use it?or even if they do is that a problem for me.bear in mind im not that clued up on computers so any help would be great guys.

      They will only be able to connect to your router if they know what the security key is.

      you asked and answered your own question in one sentence

      even if they do is that a problem for me
      if they were connected to your network you would be sharing your connection speed with them and they could potentially access information from your network.

      the security on the router is WPA-PSK and is secure and encrypted, just dont give your network key away and you will be fine
