      novice please help ;)

hi im a new sky customer and i could do with some advice please.im due to get my broadband activated this week, they have sent me the sagem router.the thing is i have a wi fi laptop, however the ethernet connection on my lapotop is broken completly but laptop still works im currently using an 02 dongo. But my question is when i get activated i wont be able to connect the ethernet cable and load the disc that sky sent with it.Will this stop me from getting online?someone said i shouild just be able to connect without it,but im never that lucky when it comes to technology lol.so any advice would be very much appreciated.

      you dont need the disc
on the router will be a sticker with the username & password you will need when you search for wifi connections on the laptop
easy peasy really and shouldnt give you any issues, just do a search for network connections and youll figure it out

Any games console will always work much better if you use a lead rather than wireless.

So buy a long Ethernet cable and run it round the edge of the room? Will be better in the long run...
