      Whats just happned to my connection? Urgent!

      I got disconnected 5 and a half hours ago and my connection hasn't recovered ever since, it connects but I can't do nothing.

      Is there something wrong with Sky at the moment?#

      Btw Im only able to type this because I'm connected through an unsecure network.

      or downlaod music

      The whole of the Sky Connect broadband network accross the UK suddenly stopped working around 10pm last night but it now appears to be fixed and back up and running.

      We lost our connection around 2pm yesterday (10/05/2010) when i got home from work i checked everything and it was slow/intermitent and often lost connection...after 9-10pm it was back up and running but i was syncing at nearly half the speed i was before we lost connection!

      Whats the best way to contact sky to try and resolve my low sync speed, i've tried emailing them but just get there bog-standard useless email respone telling me to check all my equiptment.

      One thing, your problem is Sky Connect, Its a poor service. Good throughout the day and crap in the evening.

      EDIT: Kind of reminds me of AOL broadband.

      Hi the issue is the connect package which is a Bt re-badged max product and is traffic managed from 5pm till Midnight and Weekends. There is not enough Bandwidth for all the connect Customers and Sky are not going to buy any more.

      Hi I am sorry but who ever told you that is wrong the issue is as above and it is not going to get any better. If it did go down then it was probably to many connect Customers using the internet at the same time.

      Steve, Richie is correct - the connect service was down in Edinburgh the other night (not sure if it was the whole connect network at some point).

      Well in Newcastle the Sky Talk system is down no calls in or out...but Broadband OK...Sky have a recorded message saying they are having problems with Sky Talk....anyone els got no Sky Talk ??

      its a nationwide issue i believe affecting SVBN customers. no dial tone but broadband works.

      As stated by Misfit, it's an SVBN issue. 'Engineers are working hard to fix it'.
