      Buffalo WBMR-HP-GN/U

      I am experimenting with a Buffalo WBMR-HP-GN/U instead of a Netgear and was wondering if anyone had any tips particulary for a wireless connection.I have managed to connect by cable to one PC but I am struggling to connect to a second, wirelessly.Other than the Sky password and ID are there any other settings that I need,what's VC or LLC multi plexing ?

      The Sky ID and password and the other things you mention are required to connect to the internet and have nothing to do with wireless. Your best bet is to read the manual for the router, it should tell you there how to connect by wireless. Some routers come with the wireless disabled and others with it set up with a password or phrase. The manual should tell you what you have.

      The dongle ,apparently ,was'nt supposed to work with Win 7 64 bit.I did some research and discovered it is a re-badged item made by Ralink and not Buffalo and I was able to find some drivers and now it's okay.Early days yet but it's not quite as easy to use as Sky's Netgear and the attenuation is slightly worse.
