If more than one socket check there dead when your in the test socket.
      Any noise on the line?.
Try a diffrent filter, sagem all in one t-shape filters are poor anyway think about a prefiltred faceplate XTE-2005 Filtered Master Faceplate - ADSL Nation
Good advice...only problem really is that it wouldn't be practical to leave the router in the master socket permanently, it's in a cupboard next to a huge metal boiler at the wrong end of the flat!!! I think I will replace the three filters with something decent and see if that helps though. Cheers!

Hi if the router is at the other end how is it connected. What type of cable are you using and if you are using a cable from the master socket to the router. The best way is to put your router next to the master socket then run ethernet cable to the computer have a look at ADSL Nation LTD. the cables come in various lengths. Also as dsldude has said about the XTE-2005 Filtered Master Faceplate - ADSL Nation the benefits are the face plate is filtered on both connections (Phone and ADSL) and Isolates the phone from the ADSL connection
