It seems to be sorted. Now I have changed my wireless adapter power management to maximum.

I also found this You may experience connectivity issues or performance issues when you connect a mobile PC that is running Windows Vista or Windows 7 to a wireless access point to help others in the future.

      Ta all

Hi Sky will more than likely ask you if the issues with the disconnection have stopped. Not until then will Sky reconfigure your line. So when you tell Sky the issue is resolved. Sky will then run DLM again. When DLM is finished post your stats How to get your router statistics and we will see if you can get any more speed.

the OP states they have resolves their problem, their stats are fine, if OP calls sky and asks them for line reconfig it will be done in 2 minutes if OP is in the test socket and gets through to somebody who can see they are clearly capped. if you call sky about your speed they wont re-run DLM it makes more sense and is easier and this point to manually reconfigure the speeds.

      Re: Really strange disconnection issue!

      Thanks guys!

I called sky just now and did get through to a guy who could see that I could get more and manually reconfigured my line, now get:
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 6496 kbps 510 kbps
Line Attenuation 45.5 db 27.1 db
Noise Margin 8.0 db 17.5 db

He thinks it could go more but better to stop here for a while to see how it goes, I'm happy with that.
On 1st June I get trf over to MAX package so upto 20meg. He said that DLM would start running then and my speed will get pushed up, just need to bear with the probs while it stabilizes.
On this occasion I think Sky have done well and I have shared my knowledge of the power management issue with them.
