After thinking about all this i have cancelled my appointment on friday as it will cost me over 130 to replace the master socket. Seriously considering doing it myself as you can buy genuine BT sockets on ebay for about a fiver. One question though what is the line like that comes in from outside is it just standard wiring or is it more complex. It is absolutely obsurd charging such prices for little to no effort of work carried out.

isnt that just a faceplate though?

I was referring to a standard nte5 socket with the bt logo on it.
I will then later buy a faceplate from adslnation or is that one you posted a complete socket?
