Re: Upload speed has dropped off

I agree that the download is the best I will get, its normally around 6Mb and im quite happy with that.... its just the upload speed has dropped from about 600-700kb to 252kb and it seems stuck at that speed.

Yes I have tried new filters and there seems no audio noise on the phone line.

What has been happening over the last few months is my download noise margin would drop at peak times to a point where the margin is below 7db and the connection would be useless, so I would reboot, the noise margin for download would settle at about 7-8db and I would get a download speed of about 5.5-6Mb which worked just fine till the next time the router rebooted and the download speed would go up again to about 7Mb which was fine till peak time again where I might have to reboot again.

I was thinking of contacting sky to see if they would lock the speed to 6Mb so I would have a more stable connection.

Would any of the above affect the proble Im having now?

Just to let you know the problem with my connection has been fixed....

Here are the stats from my router now:-

As you can see the upload is now at 1015kbs, up from 252kbs. And the download has increased to 7482kbs too. A happy bunny here.

Thanks to all for helping, but special thanks to the SKY CST who found that my connection had been capped due to DLM
I have been advised to keep an eye on the connection and see how it goes over the next few days.

      Best Regards

      Gareth

Your download is still a bit low, most with your attenuation get 11, 12 or even 13 Mb.
