Recommend an "N" router for SKY

Not a knew topic i know but can we put up some ideas for best/favoured "N" routers that are compatible with SKY BB and are reliable and good performers. A mix of cheap/mid/top end options would be great...

I am aware of SKY T&Cs on this but would like to find out none the less

      thanks all

Re: Recommend an "N" router for SKY

I am looking for peoples ideas/opinions who use this forum or are with SKY and have been and done this so can talk from exp as to which ones are good or at least brands to avoid or go for etc.

Main use will be for streaming HD content, gaming, general web use in a large 3 storey town house - and yes i have home plugs too but wish to have better wireless coverage and connection with a good N router whilst on SKY BB.

      Thanks

Don't try streaming over wireless, it'll never work correctly. Better to look into Homeplugs...

I wonder if anyone ever reads these posts - re your homeplug comment -
      re-read my previous post(s).....

As for googling routers for reviews - with out wishing to be sarcastic, its fairly obvious that you COULD do that (do i look like i need to be given advice to try google!?) surely an assumption should be made here that i -

      A) knew that and
      B) have done or do not want to do that and
      C) question on here was for a good reason aka asking people who have experience and opinions from sky forums....

I wonder if poeple just post on here to boost the number of times they can get a post added to their stats and thus do not bother to think about their answers or even read the post they are posting on?...

Anyways - thank you for your advice and tips! but i still am looking for info on N Routers for SKY BB based on expeirence of users here..thanks

Re: Recommend an "N" router for SKY

Well, seeing as your OP didn't have ANYTHING saying you didn't want to go down the Homeplugs route then I can't be blamed for giving the best advice I can...reviews on Google would give you ideas of reliability/performance which should be mirrored on ALL ISPs

Ultimately, anything by Netgear or Belkin should do you good, I quite like Linksys personally.

Still think Homeplugs would be a better option as streaming media over wireless is always going to give your problems.

As for 'getting my stats up' - I had 3 years working at Sky in CST so my posts have been all about help - not my fault you missed info off your OP!!

[QUOTE=not my fault you missed info off your OP!![/QUOTE]

The response re homeplugs you posted came after you read my 2nd comment and came back on it - this 2nd comment i made (you read and responded on), talked about homeplugs but you then seemed to ignore or not read it all?? So yes i did clearly mention homeplugs

Just so we are clear that is

Thanks for brand ideas but really want to narrow down the field of many options of routers out their as some look really good...I saw one by Belkin not out until may on PLAY.com

Any good? - would it work? -

Remember that you will only get an advantage from an N router if your device adapters are compatible. If they are not this can add considerably to the cost.
