      Question Sagem router... that can't be right!!!

      Hi All,
      I have a Sagem router supplied by Sky and on the whole I've been happy with it. However, over the past couple of weeks I increasingly getting pop up box asking for the DSL user id and password. I then wonder into the room where the modem is only to find that the status light is either red or amber. As I have neither the user id or password i simply switch it off and back on again. This action seems to solve my issue after a couple of attempts. However, while doing this i notice that my router is extremely hot. I'm beginning to think that can't be right !!!

      Is it time to change router and if so to what?

      the DSL login box comes up when you lose sync, thats all...likely to be a connection issue of sorts so could be the wrong but could also be some sort of line fault

      Could also be the power supply unit on its way out if you're seeing the internet light literally lit up red. Call up sky and they'll send one out free of charge.
