      It was passed last week as the government was dissolved on the 12th April.

      Due to the Dark Lord Mandelson introducing the bill it started life in the Lords and needed less time in the commons.

      I wonder if it was if was started in the commons we would have seen some more delays or comprimoises.
      I'm a PC, and Windows 7 Backup saved my sanity when BitDefender imploded !!!

      so il get busted or cutoff for downloading a free program from the net or downloading loads of updates from windows update how the hell will they know whos downloading what seriously i hope sky joins this talk talk campaign because if it goes ahead with thease censors then forget downloading altogether in fact for get the net for life

      They can use DPI to check what you're downloading - it's quite easy to differenciate between traffic

      when is this due to be 100% passed in the british goverment eg next week etc
      It is now, hence my link to the Digital Economy Act, it is no longer a Bill.

      Sky will not be checking what you are downloading. A read through the act will confirm what actions ISPs are supposed to take. Spying on their users is not one of them, at least not at this stage.
