It comes down morality - if you're going to move then it sounds like you've something to hide...

I don't really want them to start censoring my internet thank you.

And once they start, they will start censoring more.

The censorship could lead to obvious problems in that file sharing sites used by individuals for legitimate purposes will be affected also, but for those who are breaking copyright law, I have no sympathy.

Where did this information come from? A link would be useful?

ISP are not being asked to censor people using illegal downloading sites. They are being asked to act on instructions from Ofcom, which is what most are objecting to. They want court orders before they take any action against their users, not just an instruction from a quango.

      Re: Censorship for UK Broadband.

Easiest way - give all users static IPs. If someone has proof that the IP has downloaded something illegal there's no arguing (unless the person says their network was 'compromised')...

Do a search.Talk Talk petition gains momentum and now has over 30.000 signatures.
The petition goes on to state: “This will result in innocent people being disconnected from the internet. What’s more, such a punishment should be dealt with in the proper way, in a court of law. This guilty until proven innocent approach violates basic human rights.”

      Re: Censorship for UK Broadband.

      First it's illegal file sharing.

      Next it's Youtube Google ect,ect.

You think it's a joke ??? No Google in parts of China.

Lets face it, it's not all about filesharing, it's about control of information, not more 911 did they didn't they, politicians caught with their hands in the cookie jar, the list is endless.
