It looks like your speed is capped. Now that you have sorted out your wiring, call Sky and tell them that and ask them to reconfigure your line. I am not sure why your attenuation has increased unless you have been moved from G.DMT to ADSL2+. You should get 16+Mb.

another question is when i go to speed test its not my ip that comes it comes up with is that right??
That may be one of the reasons it gives such crapping results. My advice is to resist the urge and don't even go there.

You don't have to prove anything, in fact if you are too technical you are liable to get the agents back up and get nowhere. Just tell them you have improved your wiring and would like your connection reconfigured to its best speed.

You can stay on the line whilst the agent does it. It takes around 60 seconds to reconfigure a line on sky's end, but it's getting through to the agents that have access to do it which takes time. When you first ring, you'll get through to tier 1 support and you'll be led through similar questions which I asked earlier. If you suggest you're in the master socket with the correct set-up and that you have tried changing filters and have no test socket, then you'll be passed to a specific dept. called the customer solutions team. From there, the guys can reconfig the line and sort you out in minutes.
