You need to ditch Sky Connect and get O2

It won't make a difference where I live. The customers on the Warboys exchange are stuck in the late 90's with no upgrades scheduled any time soon. The only option for faster broadband would be to move.

There are other ISPs on your exchange using the same BT service who do not throttle to the same extent as Sky. Plusnet, ADSL24, O2, to name just a few. If you are paying the full price for Connect, you will definitely get better elsewhere.

That ADSL24 looks pretty good. Oh to have an unthrottled line. I may be moving back to the states in July so I'll hold out until then. If I end up staying here for another three years, I'm definitely switching. I'll have to do some research to make sure they're reliable.

Have a look and see if you can find one with monthly contracts. If you don't get a 'free' router most have this option. It would be worth it, if only for a few months.

ADSL24 only has a 1 month contract, but I'm still under contract with Sky until June. Stuck on Sky Connect until then. It's only two more months. I've managed for this long.
