      How are my stats?

      Hi. im new here, could anyone tell me about my stats, was on adsl2+, fast, then i
      phoned sky, got to tier 2 who adjusted my speed up by approx 1M.

      Before stats

      Downstream Upstream
      Sync Rate: 6143 Kbps 412 Kbps
      Max Rate: 8364 Kbps 516 Kbps
      Attenuation: 48.5 dB 27.9 dB
      SNR Margin: 8.6 dB 23 dB
      ADSL Mode: ADSL2+
      Channel: Fast
      Average Error Rate: 13.2 CRC Errors/hr

      now my stats are

      Sync Rate: 7104 Kbps 992 Kbps
      Max Rate: 7680 Kbps 1152 Kbps
      Attenuation: 45 dB 28.5 dB
      SNR Margin: 5.4 dB 8 dB
      ADSL Mode: G.DMT
      Channel: Interleave
      Average Error Rate: 18.59 CRC Errors/hr

      Any help please, can i get more speed, etc, Thanks

      Hilton, you're best making your own thread, mate. At the moment, the line is stretching the most speed it can, and even though the SNR is quite low, the error snapshot is fine. You're doing quite well for your attenuation, I'd say.

      However, if you want to check whether you can push out any more speed, then post stats from the test socket, using no extension cables and only the light grey dsl cable that sky supplied to the router into a swapped filter.
