    Quick question...

    This is a discussion on Quick question... within the Sky Broadband help forums, part of the Sky Broadband help and support category; I placed my order on the 25th September, and according to the BT tracker i'm due to be migrated over ...

      Quick question...

      I placed my order on the 25th September, and according to the BT tracker i'm due to be migrated over on the 4th of October. However, I haven't even received one letter off Sky about the order. Should I be getting worried?

      I signed up to the Sky Connect package (damn you small village exchange!).

      Not what you want to hear but ....

      I signed up on 25th - going live on the 4th
      Router plus 3 letters turned up on 28th
      4th letter turned up on 29th

      I'd give them a ring if I were you.

      Ok, I got my first letter today. Waste of time if you ask me, they already told me all of that info on the phone when I signed up.

      I think I'll give them a ring later, although I bet I wont get anywhere. Reading other posts they refuse to acknowledge bt's times and don't do anything until your activation time has passed anyway.

      On the contrary sending it to you is the official way of conforming what they told you on the phone.

      Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

      I just called Sky who wouldn't get anymore specific than "sometime next week, probably the beginning".

      I think I just need to find a dialup isp just in case, then hope for the best.

      Have you looked at the BT checker to see if the order is showing?

      And a dial-up account would be a good backup plan
