I have changed my default password to the router and now i can't access the router with the new password! I've tried the old password combo admin/sky but that doesn't work either! Nightmare, is there anyway to revert back or get another way in??

afaik if you press the reset button on the back for a few secs with a pen it should reset to default
try it and let us know

Will that reset it to the default netgear firmware or the sky firmware?

You should not have flashed it in the first place
I really cant help you no further, try it and see, if by any chance you have flashed it, try reversing the process, but bear in mind we don't allow flashing talk in the open forums.
ask in there after registering if you have flashed it.

Sorry for the confusion. I have not flashed it. I was mearly concerned wether all te changes sky have made to the box would be lost.

press the reset and see what happens
If you havent flashed it hopefully it goes back to the way it was

As the fine people here have said, get a hairgrip, pen, pin or anything with a small tip, and stick it into the hole at the back of the router for 10 seconds or until the lights flash orange. This will reset the router to factory settings and you may then need to access it with the patch lead supplied by Sky to configure.
Login using admin and sky.

took the plunge and did the reset, everything was reset back to the sky firmware. I was worried that doing the reset would revert to a netgear firmware rather than the sky.
