      Password Nightmare!

      Hi everyone,

I have changed my default password to the router and now i can't access the router with the new password! I've tried the old password combo admin/sky but that doesn't work either! Nightmare, is there anyway to revert back or get another way in??

      Thanks

      Chris

      Hi, thanks for the reply.

Will that reset it to the default netgear firmware or the sky firmware?

      ooooh

You should not have flashed it in the first place

I really cant help you no further, try it and see, if by any chance you have flashed it, try reversing the process, but bear in mind we don't allow flashing talk in the open forums.

      http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/broadband-technical-help/

ask in there after registering if you have flashed it.

      capgeek,
As the fine people here have said, get a hairgrip, pen, pin or anything with a small tip, and stick it into the hole at the back of the router for 10 seconds or until the lights flash orange. This will reset the router to factory settings and you may then need to access it with the patch lead supplied by Sky to configure.
      Login using admin and sky.

      Morning all,

took the plunge and did the reset, everything was reset back to the sky firmware. I was worried that doing the reset would revert to a netgear firmware rather than the sky.

Cheers for all the help, much appreciated
