      Bit laggy lately?

Been with sky since last year , however just recently pages don't load as instantly as before and when i downloada demo or video every page just stalls or wont load. Say for example i'm downloading settlers demo at 400kb/s which is at my max , i won't be able to load any web page at all. Same thing with torrents and or newsgroups , only been happening this month. Stop downloading the demo/video and give it a few seconds and all page loading returns to some form of normality

You can't have your cake and eat it.
If you are using all your bandwidth on torrents there will be nothing left to do other things. It could be your download speed has reduced and is showing in this way. What are your stats like at the moment. You might have to restrict your torrents.

Yes but the same thing applies, if you are maxing out your connection doing one thing, there won't be anything left for the other.

As stated, post your router stats, you may have lost a little speed which could be why you are noticing it more now.

      Re: Bit laggy lately?

Your noise margin is a bit low which could be causing errors and causing data to be re-transmitted which can seriously affect speed.

You should also get the stats from your TEST socket just to check everything is ok on your side and then post them. You could also reboot your router to see if you can get the noise margin to increase.

Try changing filters and also ensure that any other sockets still have then properly connected as the very FIRST thing into them.

I have a filtered faceplate , the router is plugged direct into that..

However the router reboot sorted it out , noise margin is now 7.1

      Thanks

EDIT : Speeds have gone up and i can browse and download at the same time !
