just copy/paste the stats straight into a post - don't need a screen dump

Just post your query here, don't start another thread, it is unnecessary.

Unhappy A little advice about lost speeds

      Hi,
I have some dropped speeds lately and have queried with sky who are supposed to be checking the line etc.
I used to get at least 3 to 2.7kbs most times but as you will see its dropped of late.
I did a check with the speedtest tool and it shows this

      22 March, 2010 12:57:08 1728 Kbps 466 Kbps
      22 March, 2010 12:34:10 1744 Kbps 446 Kbps
      22 March, 2010 12:28:06 1736 Kbps 466 Kbps
      26 February, 2009 14:39:16 3400 Kbps 336 Kbps

Dont know why there is a such a difference since feb 2009
but I have had a new router about six months back sent c/o sky after my last one just failed!
I also had a lost connection (inc voice) which was pinned down ( with sky on the phone) to a faceplate issue which was an XTE-2005!
I replaced that with a "Tamar adsl faceplate filter" which seems fine.
My stats below may give some ideas but I know I am not going to get great speeds due to distance from exchange ( 1.6 mls)
      But any views/advice appreciated
      Thanks.
      Stuart.

Can you remove the faceplate and plug into the Test socket using only Sky supplied cables. No telephone extension cables. Please switch off the power to your router when doing this to ensure a proper resync.

No reason why you should leave the Sky box on, unplug it, it may be the source of the problem.
