      Welcome to the site Tom

Yes thats normal as you are changing ISP's you still have to be activated on the new ISP.

      And thanks
      Ray

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

      Yes good luck mate.

Judging by my experiences you'll need it.

I gave them my MAC last week and they promised a router by Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest and then a letter advising me of my migration date.

Phoned today to enquire about router only to find that my migration date is today - I'm living on borrowed time now, expecting my line to go dead and with no router.

You want order status,NOT tech support as all we'll do is put you on hold while WE phone order status.
Contrary to popular belief we DO NOT have acees to the system (Penfold) to check on activation date, delivery, status of a order ect.

Well I am pleased to be able to report a success so far. I gave them a fair bit of grief on the phone and they had an engineer bring me a modem today. Plugged it in and connected straight away.

Speed is a bit lower than I had hoped for, 1.8mb, but perhaps that's my line who knows.

Fair play to Sky they have listened to my issues and responded admirably. I even got a 'sorry' card from the manager I was dealing with yesterday.

      Hi Spike

If you get a min can you give us a clear and definitive list of departments etc and also the phone numbers that would be preferred to be used?

That way members are ringing the right department etc and hopefully will save you guys / gals some work :-)

Finaly rang them and got through, person who entered my mac code entered it in lower case. Don't they think to ring you to tell you the order has been rejected!? Ah well hopefully second time lucky.
