Is this what I should get

Recently got upgraded from the midi package to unlimited but never got more than 6mb/1mb according to speedtest

noticed during the weekday I have got as low as 256k download speed which is plain ridoclous

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 5251 kbps 798 kbps
Line Attenuation 44.0 db 26.3 db
Noise Margin 6.3 db 12.6 db

I am around 1.3m from the exchange which is about 200ft lower than where I live

      is this normal behaviour ?

Your noise margin is a bit low, where is the router plugged in and what else is on the line? It could be an internal issue, setup fault or dodgy filters.

Yeah looks fine, my uptime is 600 hours~ with a 6db NM.

Do a speedtest and post the results.

      5Mbit = 0.625MB/s (625KB/s)

I would guess you are using wireless? If so download and use Inssider from the link below. Use it to discover the other networks in your area and the Channels they are using. Change your channel to one as far from those in use as possible.

That being said, your sync speed looks a bit low, plug into your Test socket and post the stats from there. Use only the cables supplied by Sky, do not use telephone extensions.

Note - When downloading always select the Custom install or you will end up with stuff you don't want.

I wasn't asking for help, was saying his noise margin is fine, as the poster above said it may be too low.

Hi Isitme is right about ianrobo noise margin it is low with that attenuation should be around 8MBs and with a noise margin of 6.3 will never get that. The reason for the tests is to see if the noise margin is higher from the test socket. here`s a bit about Sky router stats (speed, noise, attenuation) explained

Re: Is this what I should get

Ah, I assumed he meant stability due to a low NM.

Looking at it yes, your attenuation and noise margin don't match your sync speed.
