      Sky Broadband New Connection?

Hi, I am having a few problems with Sky Broadband. they activated my phone line on Thursday 11th March in the evening. And I am with the 20 meg package, and for some reason I am only getting 3 megabytes. I didn't ask for this, does the connection go slow for a while, since its a new fresh phoneline?

      Can anyone help?

      Thanks
      Millard

The Unlimited package starts at 4Mb and as the line trains it increases to the maximum stable rate. If you look at your introduction letter you will see that you are advised your line will be on DLM training for at least 10 days.

Post your router stats from your normal position and from the Test socket and you will be advised what speed you can expect. You are on an up to 20 mb package, depending on your line you may get much less.

Looks more like that start speed to Mid/Everyday - might be worth checking with Sky...

And next time, read your welcome letter (assuming you got it)

From these you should get a speed of 9-11Mb. You may have an issue with your wiring as the speed does not usually drop below 4Mb when the line can support it.. That looks more like the start speed for Everyday. If you have a Test socket, plug in there and post the stats.
