Re: My Stats can I go faster ?

If you have just been upgraded you may have been put on DLM training. Going by your noise margin, you might just get 8000kbps, which would be excellent for your attenuation. It is possible that you were on G.DMT before which has a maximum connection rate with Sky of 8Mb. Upgrading would mean you were moved to ADSL2+. An attenuation of 45-47 dbs is around the cross roads for G,DMT and ADSL2+, where there is no real advantage in using the faster mode.

You could ask them to raise the cap a bit, but doing so may make your line unstable, if so, they will not be keen on lifting it.

mine gets 7616kbps MAX on G.DMT so it might not be a cap, he might be on G.DMT, because if i switch it to ADSL2+ using my own router i get 8400kbps, it did for a bit get exactly 8000kbps on G.DMT but now its always 7616kbps.

First post is on adsl2+ - change to gdmt and you might get 8mbps again but does it really matter? so long as it's stable thats the main thing - if it aint broke dont fix it!!
