      Can't order Sky Broadband

      I recently moved to Sky Talk, so couldn't order broadband online until that was complete. Now I can get to the page where you select a broadband package, but it says:

      Sky Broadband is available in your area, but it seems your phone line may have a service on it that's not compatible with broadband. Please call us on 08442410507 to complete your order.
      Any ideas why it says this? I'd call, but I want the Quidco.

      It is rather stupid, but because the checker does not see BT on your line it thinks it is not compatible. You would think Sky's broadband checker would recognise their own phone, it seems they have not got round to updating their system. I don't think there is anything you can do except phone and express your displeasure at loosing out on a deal because you can't sign up on line because of their poor system. They may offer you a discount so have the details of what you are loosing written down so you can read it out to them.

      Hi also make sure that it is one of Sky`s LLU (Local Loop Unbundling) products

      I called Sky and they say it's because I've had Sky broadband before, and there's something wrong with the system. I was on hold for half an hour, but they couldn't sort it. Someone is calling me back.
