Does Sky really block Youtube here?
Every single day I find myself blocked from YouTube from about 6pm to about half 11pm (can't even get the page to load to read comments). Nothing about this in their terms btw. Should I get in contact with Ofcom?

It's probably traffic shaping as you are on Connect.

Re: Does Sky really block Youtube here?
I would hazard a guess and say it is because YouTube has the potential to allow the most bandwidth to be used during peak times.
I don't think it is blocked per se but severely rate limited on the Connect broadband service. If you could watch the video or even read the comments it wouldn't be too bad I guess.

Re: Does Sky really block Youtube here?
Sky Connect is way over capacity and during peak hours it can be slower than the old dial up, the opnly option is to move ISP.

Re: Does Sky really block Youtube here?
Run an official BT speedtest at various times of the day and night, this will give you a log of the speeds and the times that you are struggling.
Sky Connect is pants for streaming, gaming and downloading during peak hours, nothing you say or do will change this. Read some of the other threads, there are 1000's of posts concerning this, unless you think they are all wrong too.
