    not getting the max speed

      not getting the max speed

      hello im new to this.. the problem is that when we signed up to sky they said we was capable of getting near 20mb but im ony getting around 10mb.. i want to know is there a way of getting closer to this 20mb speed.. i read somewhere that its better to be on adsl+2 am i on that

      here are my stats if you need them :






      Modem Status Up
      DownStream Connection Speed 10779
      UpStream Connection Speed 852

      1. you signed up for UP TO 20Mbps, you're never guaranteed to get that
      2. you're on adsl2+ as anything over 8Mbps needs it
      3. post your stats (noise margin, attenuation, etc) - see my sig if you need help

      We need the full stats, which are on the same page you got those figures but you need to click where it says 'show statistics' at the bottom of the page.

      And, yes, you are on adsl2plus.

      Plug your router into your test socket and post again as you should be nearer to 20Mbps...looks like a noise issue

      its already plugged in the test socket

      with the test socket in use, this is only a filter and router? and are other sockets dead (no dial tone)?

      this is the main socket we regurlary use.. i just need to now what the problem is with the speed

      You must do as asked if you want to get anywhere. Your figures at the moment show you are getting as much as your line can support. Plug into your TEST socket and post your result.
